When it comes to home based healthcare, the origins are as old as time. Looking after elderly relatives, sick family members and of course newborns and children is part of family life, and as a society, something we have always managed to the best of our means.
Bringing in outside help is a relatively modern phenomenon, but not something we should take for granted. At-home visits from professional healthcare workers, through to longer term caring positions are a useful advantage to busy lifestyles, and to give qualified care from nurses, nanny’s and doctors.
